Receptionist & Office Administrator (Term-Time only)

We are recruiting for a Receptionist & Office Administatior to work in our busy and vibrant School Office.  As the first point of contact with the School, this is a key position and requires a friendly and professional approach, with an excellent telephone manner and a calm and composed demeanour.

The Receptionist and Office Administrator will be one of a team of administrative staff headed by the Bursar and will work alongside the Headteacher’s PA, School Administrator and Music Administrator in the School Office.

Duties will include:

  • Receptionist duties, including welcoming visitors, dealing with telephone, email and desk enquiries;
  • Email and diary management;
  • Database entry and updates;
  • Dealing with lettings enquiries and bookings;
  • Dealing with pupil absences and updating pupil attendance records;
  • Maintenance of School noticeboards;
  • Photocopying and management of the photocopier room;
  • Arrangements for post and banking, alongside other School Office staff members;
  • Checking stocks of office supplies;
  • Ad hoc duties for staff as required.

The post-holder should be able to work independently and as part of a small team.  This is an exciting time in the School’s history and the successful candidate will become part of a vibrant and unique institution where no two days are the same. 

This is a term-time, permanent post of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working 38 weeks per year.  The school offers competitive salary rates and a contributory pension scheme.  Salary quoted is per annum, paid over 12 months.  Additional paid work may be available during the summer break.
