Organ Studies
Edinburgh has one of the best collections of organs in the UK. Within walking distance can be found fine examples of the work of Father Willis, TC Lewis, Hope-Jones, Rieger, Flentrop, Walker, Ahrend, Gern, Harrison & Harrison, Walcker & Cie, Matthew Copley, Mander, Brindley & Foster, Lammermuir Pipe Organs, some of which the school has occasional access to.
On the doorstep are Palmerston Place Church (II/29 Wells-Kennedy Partnership, 1992), St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral (IV/58 Fr Willis,1878) and the Song School (II/P Fr Willis, 1887) all of which are available to organ pupils of the school. The School itself owns a fine three-manual mechanical action chamber organ by Peter Collins (2001).

Organ and Choral scholarships may be available at the city’s churches and cathedrals. St Cecilia’s Hall has an incredibly valuable collection of early keyboard instruments.
