I am delighted to write in support of the exciting plans to move St Mary’s Music School into the former Royal High School building in Edinburgh. This will be a wonderful opportunity to expand the over-subscribed and tremendously successful only independent specialist music school in Scotland. The possibility to grow the important outreach activities in which the school is already involved, would be enhanced by the move. The high profile location will demonstrate to Scotland and the world, the importance that Scotland places on educating our future leading musicians.
