'Magic' isn't the word, since dedication and talent have established the reputation of St Mary's Music School. Yet the fact that any - any! - musically-gifted youngster can apply to the school, whatever their background, does seem magical.  The School has been a centre of excellence for decades, so amply deserves its new home at the old Royal High School.  And another great thing is that the new school will often be open for all of us to hear and see the students.  If I sound excited, I am - the plans and designs will further enhance Edinburgh's already world-class architectural splendour and cultural stature, and in a way that everyone can enjoy, as befits any enterprise on Calton Hill.  The new School will bridge heritage and modernity, augmenting the legacy to the city's citizens and visitors.  I'm delighted  to add my support to this well-planned and resourced addition to our capital.
