Anne Giles

A graduate of Edinburgh University with a degree in Education, Anne taught English for several years, later qualifying as a teacher of violin and viola. She has had a long and fulfilling career working with children of all ages and abilities and adult beginners, and as a conductor and string tutor of children’s orchestras. She performs regularly with Scottish Sinfonia and has a particular interest in Early Music, playing early string instruments with The Edinburgh Renaissance Band, in concerts for music societies and historic events, outreach work with schools, and on the Edinburgh Fringe.
