With a French mother, Elena partly grew up in France, where she attended the Conservatoire de Paris as a child. There she met Russian pianist Rena Shereshevskaya, who mentored her for two years before she entered the Hochschule f. Musik, Theater und Medien.

Elena was born in Berlin into a family of musicians and started playing the piano at the age of six.

She is the recipient of the German Stipend "PE Foerderungen", as well as of the "Leon Fleisher Fund".

During her undergraduate studies, Elena Fischer-Dieskau was chosen to play the role of a pianist on the big screen in the French drama film Tout est pardonne (All is Forgiven) by Mia Hansen-Love, performing music by Schumann and Beethoven on screen.

In the media, she has been featured by BBC Radio Scotland in an interview with live performances, as well as by BBC Radio 3 'In Tune' for her latest album release.
