Felix Tanner
Felix attended St Mary's Music SChool studying with James Durrant, going on to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London with John White and Martin Outram.
He was a member of the Badke Quartet & Brodowski Quartet with whom he won the Royal Overseas League Competition and the Val Tidone International Chamber Music Competition in Italy. They held a residency at Bristol University and were also holders of the Richard Carne Fellowship for Chamber Ensembles at Trinity College of Music, as well as the Bulldog Scholarship for String Quartet. The Quartet played at venues such as the Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room, and many festivals throughout the UK and abroad.
Felix has worked with many of the major orchestras in the UK and was a member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He moved to Edinburgh to take up the sub-principal viola position with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra in 2016.
