I am very excited at the possibility of the old Royal High School becoming a new home for St Mary’s Music School. It seems entirely appropriate that this historic and iconic building be reclaimed for the purposes of educating and equipping young people. This is a bold and innovative vision which, if realised, could have a dynamic impact on the music and education landscape in Scotland as well as affirming Edinburgh as an international centre of excellence for music and the wider arts.
