School Administrator

Incorporating the post of Saturday Music Classes Administrator

We are currently recruiting for a full-time School Administrator to work in the School Office from Tuesday to Friday and at our long established Saturday Music Classes on a Saturday morning and early afternoon.

This is a key role, requiring strong IT skills, a high standard of verbal and written communication and a good level of numeracy.  The successful candidate will have a flexible and positive attitude to work with a friendly and approachable demeanour

The School Administrator will be one of a team of administrative staff headed by the Bursar and will work alongside the Headteacher’s PA, Music Administrator and Receptionist & Office Administrator in the School Office.

Duties will include:

  • General school administration;
  • Administrative support for Saturday Music Classes;
  • Database entry and maintenance;
  • Purchase orders, travel arrangements and petty cash requests;
  • Invoicing and collection of fees for Saturday Music Classes;
  • Arrangement for banking;
  • Assisting with event arrangements, including associated administration;
  • Confidential typing and filing;
  • Administration and typing for senior management staff;
  • Deputising for School Office staff.

The post-holder should be able to work independently and as part of a small team.  This is an exciting time in the School’s history and the successful candidate will become part of a vibrant and unique institution where no two days are the same. 

This is a full-time, permanent post of 35 hours per week, working Tuesday to Saturday.  The School offers competitive salary rates and a contributory pension scheme.
