Weekend Chef
(Term-Time only)

A Weekend Chef is required for 16 hours per week during school term-time to work in the Boarding House and at our Saturday Classes café. Hours are 8.30am to 6pm on a Saturday and 10.30am to 6pm on a Sunday.

This position would suit a competent chef capable of working alone.  Menus and recipes are provided by the School Chef.

Duties will include:

  • light prep for the Saturday Classes café
  • assisting the Saturday Kitchen Assistant when required
  • preparation and serving of lunch and dinner for approximately 25 pupils
  • cooking to the highest standard, using fresh produce at all times
  • following guidelines set down by the Healthy Living Award
  • completion of the "cook safe" kitchen log
  • ensuring the cleaning schedule is completed
  • adhering to the School's health and safety procedures

Out of term-time, there may be additional work available in the summer.

The post holder will be expected to adhere to COSHH regulations and to promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils, staff and visitors.
