Adam Walker Masterclass
Free public masterclass by Adam Walker, Principal Flute, London Symphony Orchestra.
Adam Walker was appointed Principal Flute of the London Symphony Orchestra in 2009 aged just 21 and regularly plays with the major British orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, Hallé, Bournemouth Symphony, City of Birmingham Symphony. An ambassador for the flute with a ferocious appetite for repertoire, Adam’s interests range from the less well-known French Baroque through to newly commissioned works. He is recognised as being 'at the forefront of a new generation of wind soloists' and has a reputation for his extensive repertoire.
In this public masterclass, sponsored by St Mary's Music School, Adam will work with six young musicians, providing advice on technique and musicianship. There will be the opportunity to hear Adam play and to ask questions.
