Be A Chorister Afternoon
Find out what it means to be part of this incredible tradition
Being a chorister provides an excellent music and academic education and is immensely rewarding. During these very special afternoons, children currently in P3, P4 or P5 join the choristers of St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral for a practice singing session at the beautiful Song School. Afterwards, they’ll head over to St Mary’s Music School for a fun activity and afternoon tea and finally they will return to the Cathedral to put on the cassock and soutane our choristers wear and join them to sing in the Cathedral.
Families and friends are most welcome to attend the performance.
Who can attend?
The afternoon is open to children P3 to P5 who love to sing and who live within traveling distance of St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral, at Palmerston Place, Edinburgh.
Full time chorister places begin in P5 and last for five years. Probationer chorister places begin in P3 or P4.
