LEAVE A LEGACY TO ST MARY’S MUSIC SCHOOL
Make an impact on future generations of young musicians
For over half a century, since we opened the doors to our Music School in 1972, we are honoured that many of our supporters have been inspired to remember St Mary’s Music School in their Will.
In fact, it is thanks to this generous and far-sighted philanthropy that we have been able to establish, grow, and become what we are today – Scotland’s national music school. We continue to rely on the generosity of our donors for vital funds to support the specialist music education we provide. This support enables us to purchase musical instruments, fund scholarships, take part in exciting new musical activities across Scotland, and augment our Bursary Fund so we can ensure that talented young musicians continue to benefit from the immersive musical environment of the School, whatever their financial circumstances.
If you share our passion for music, and would like to make an impact on future generations of young musicians, we hope that you will consider leaving a gift in your Will to St Mary’s Music School. No matter how large or small, your gift will make a difference.

How to include St Mary’s Music School in your Will
As your Will is one of the most important documents you will ever make, we recommend that you seek professional legal advice to guide you through the process of including the School in your will, whether that’s by drafting a new will or updating an existing one. The School is a registered charity (SC014611), so a legacy to St Mary’s Music School will be exempt from UK Inheritance and Capital Gains Taxes. |
While we appreciate that some people prefer to give anonymously, we do hope that you might let us know about your legacy gift so that we can thank you in person, involve you in the life of the School, and share our plans for a future that you will help to shape.
