Flute teacher for saturday music classes
We are seeking to appoint a teacher of flute for Saturday Music Classes (SMC). Our long-established classes run every Saturday during term time for over 100 pupils aged 4 to 12. We are looking for someone who can bring expertise, energy and enthusiasm to the role at a thriving music school. Job Description Specific duties: Teach flute group instrumental classes and individual lessons. Liaise with SMC Manager and other staff as appropriate. Liaise with parents as and when required. Assist with concert planning and implementation. Assess development, progress and attainment of pupils as required. Promote and help to safeguard the health, welfare and safety of SMC pupils and maintain good discipline. General duties: Undertaking appropriate and agreed training and maintaining a personal record; Participating in any arrangements for appraisal of performance; Participating in extracurricular activities as appropriate; Attending staff meetings as requested; Other duties as required by the SMC Manager or Director of Music. Hours of Work Hours will depend on number of classes run each session. SMC staff are expected to attend every Saturday in SMC term (30 weeks per year) plus one Saturday prior to the start of the Autumn Term.
