Music for All 

At St Mary's Music School we are committed to ensuring that children and young people have access to the best music tuition regardless of financial means or where they come from. 

Our outreach and education programmes for young people and their teachers are growing year by year and we are always keen to hear about opportunities for new partnerships and to support music education throughout Scotland and beyond. 

Current Music Education and Outreach Programme 

Our current activity includes: 

• Saturday Music Classes for children aged 4 to 12
• SCO String Academy in partnership with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, providing five afternoons of music development for young string players working with musicians from the SCO
• Music summer school - currently based around the Piano and open to young people age 13 to 19
• Open music masterclasses - where eminent musicians work with young people in open forum to develop their techniques and skills
