Applications Open for St Mary’s Music School Summer Schools 2026
Applications are now open for the St Mary’s Music School Vocal and Piano Summer Schools 2026, two inspiring residential programmes designed for talented young musicians who are ready to take the next step in their musical journey.
Following the great success of last year’s inaugural Vocal Summer School, both courses return in summer 2026, offering an intensive and supportive environment for young singers and pianists to develop their skills.
Vocal Summer School: 19–24 July 2026
Aimed at classical singers aged 14–18 (Grade 7 or equivalent and above), the Vocal Summer School combines expert tuition and individual coaching sessions with a professional accompanist, alongside workshops in acting, sung languages, mindfulness, yoga and Alexander Technique.
Participants will also take part in solo performance opportunities and a full-day masterclass with a renowned pedagogue. The course offers a well-rounded introduction to what’s required as a classical artist, ideal for those considering further study or wishing to refine their technique in a friendly, creative setting.
Course Fee: £1,050 (financial support available)
Piano Summer School 2–7 August 2026
Designed for pianists aged 13–17, this comprehensive course offers individual lessons, coaching, and chamber music opportunities, alongside performance workshops and sessions in mindfulness and yoga. The focus is on developing both the musical and mental skills essential for success as a pianist — whether aspiring to conservatoire study or looking to grow in confidence and artistry.
Course Fee: £990 (financial support available)
Both Summer Schools take place at St Mary’s Music School in the centre of Edinburgh, providing a stimulating and supportive musical environment with access to outstanding facilities and experienced tutors.
