I am delighted to support the proposal that St Mary's Music School should move to the historic Royal High School in Edinburgh. This would be a statement of intent that the Arts, and Music in particular, hold a high position in Scottish society, and would be further proof of Edinburgh's pre-eminence as a City of Culture. As an opera singer, living in this wonderful city, with an international career spanning four decades, I can think of no better location for the new St Mary's Music School, and heartily endorse this proposal.
