Venue Hire  

Located in the heart of the city, just a two minute walk from Haymarket train station, St Mary's Music School is a perfect location for venue hire. Options range from individual rooms on a dry-hire basis to fully-catered group accommodation.  

Room Hire

Rooms are available to hire both during term-time and in the school holidays.  Term-time hires are restricted to evenings, Saturday afternoons and Sundays; holiday hires may be at any time of the day.

Available spaces include the school's Recital Room (a former Chapel), which may be used for rehearsals or private functions.  Other large classrooms may be let, as can small to medium rooms for practice.

Catering can be arranged, to include morning and afternoon refreshments, lunches and dinners.

Easter and Summer Opportunities for Group Venue Hire

St Mary's Music School makes a superb location for a summer school, situated right in the heart of historic Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city, (renowned worldwide as a capital of culture), yet surrounded by tranquil gardens and the peace of a residential crescent. With en-suite accommodation in twin rooms, an extensive fleet of pianos, full catering facilities, classrooms, practice and performance rooms, the School makes the perfect base for learning in a fun and stimulating environment. It is also within a couple of minutes walk of Haymarket train station with bus and tram links to the airport making it easily accessible. And once here, all you need to do is walk or choose from the extensive range of public transport options. 

During the summer Edinburgh is alive with the Edinburgh International Festival and Edinburgh Festival Fringe as well as the usual wealth of cultural and creative activites. Many visitors enjoy simply admiring the architecture or the excellent shopping options available.

Accommodation

There is sleeping accommodation for up to 40 visitors in single or twin rooms.  Each room is comfortably furnished and has private en-suite facilities.

There is a residents' sitting room with television. Table tennis and a pool table are also available as well as an outdoor tennis court (bring your own equipment).  As guests do not have access to the kitchen, a kettle together with coffee, milk, etc. is provided in the residents' sitting room.

Catering

Breakfast and evening meals can be provided daily. Menus and mealtimes can be discussed when a firm booking is made. A sit-down or packed lunch can also be prepared if required.
