I have read through the detail of your plans for St Mary’s Music School regarding its move to the site of the former Royal High School on Calton Hill in Edinburgh.

The plans demonstrate an aspiration to provide hugely enhanced facilities for future expansion of St Mary’s Music School in every way – academically, musically and pastorally. I am sure I speak for many of us engaged in specialist music education when I say that the plans for St Mary’s Music School are to be applauded and supported in every conceivable way. The talent of the young people is a resource for Scotland and the wider UK community that must be nurtured.

I support your plans wholeheartedly and wish you much success in relation to the planning approval from the local authority.
