Sir James MacMillan

I enthusiastically support the plans to move St Mary's Music School into the former Royal High School. St Mary's is one of the key cultural institutions of Scotland and has provided us with some of the most important Scottish musicians over the generations. Along with the national companies and orchestras the school is one of the artistic jewels in the crown of Scotland. The move into these iconic, central premises would represent a hugely positive gesture in our capital city, showing that music and the highest artistic aspirations are important in our national life.
