My career as a performing musician has given me the opportunity to travel worldwide. I can think of no better use for the architecturally renowned former Royal High School building in Edinburgh than to become the new home of St Mary’s Music School. The move would represent a tremendous prospect for the school and would place it on the international stage as one the world’s leading music schools. It would broaden the educational opportunities already provided for St Mary’s Music School’s current pupils as well as allowing expansion to assist more extraordinary young musicians to develop their talent.
The new concert hall and the other resources planned at the site are exciting and will boost the provision for the arts in Scotland.
