Tom Hunter

Tom lives in Edinburgh and performs regularly with all the Scottish professional orchestras. He is a percussionist with Scotland’s contemporary music ensemble, the Red Note Ensemble, performing in their many concerts, collaborations, tours, theatrical scenarios and Red Note's recent CD recordings for the Delphian label. From 2005 to 2009, Tom was Assistant Principal Timpanist with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Norway and was a founder member of the Bergen Pipe Band. Tom has worked with many of the UK’s leading orchestras including Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. Tom is a percussion tutor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is an ambassador for eStaccato music lessons online.
