As part of our Juniors in June, the youngest of our Instrumentalists get to play in a splendid, grand venue – the so-called Castles Series. Previous concerts have taken place at Lauriston Castle, Rosslyn Chapel, Paxton House and, last summer, at the Festival of Ideas in York.
On Thursday 7 June, the Juniors are thrilled to be playing at the invitation of the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Their programme includes a good variety of music, both old and new, played by the Junior String Orchestra and Junior Chamber Ensembles. The concert, in the palace’s Great Gallery, starts at 3pm and lasts about 45minutes.
